The Presidency of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP27) shall be organized, and d. Mahmoud Mohieldin, UN High-Level Leader on Climate Change at COP27 and the World Bank Group in partnership with the Center for Economic and Financial Research and Studies (CEFRS), the Economic Research Forum (ERF), the Egyptian Center for Economic Studies (ECES), and the Institute of National Planning (INP) have a distinguished lecture series on climate and development issues.
The second lecture entitled: “Financing the Transition to the Green Economy in Developing Countries” will be delivered by Dr. Montk Al-Walia on October 30, 2022 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm

The second lecture addresses the general issues that developing countries must address in developing internal strategies for climate change management in order to achieve the objectives of the Conference of the Parties at its twenty-sixth session and to define their negotiating position at the twenty-seventh session of the Conference of the Parties and other international forums such as the Group of Twenty. This is in the context of the actions that have been taken in India, and how to benefit from this experience in other developing countries.
